What is freemasonry?
Freemasonry is an order of men whose basic beliefs are brotherly love, relief and truth. We strive to enjoy the company of our brother Masons, assist them in times of personal trouble, and reinforce essential moral values.
Freemasonry “takes good men and makes them better”, which is our goal.
Freemasonry offers a man an opportunity to come into regular, enjoyable contact with men of good character, thus reinforcing his own personal moral development.
Freemasonry is also meant to be enjoyed by its membership, so the order should not be viewed simply as a club, but rather a fellowship of men who seek to enjoy each other’s company, a fraternity.
Freemasons are urged to regard the interests of the family as paramount.
Freemasonry also teaches and practises concern for people, care for the less fortunate and provide help for those in need. In addition, large sums of money are given to national, international and local charities.
